I really do love vinyl. I have a largish collection of records and cds. The struggle I have is the space that they take up. My basement is pretty full and there is no way my wife is letting me dig out an extension to our basement to store more music. I used to listen to at least a record a week - my turntable inconveniently located in the basement (relocated so the family could use the living room for things other than listening to music....!) but the basement stereo is not as convenient as the small shelf stereo I have in the living room so record listening is less common. I don't tend to buy new titles on vinyl as they are way over priced for my budget.
The CD market right now is ripe for the picking for people looking for new music. It reminds me of the days when CDs looked to be wiping vinyl off the map. Great times picking up still sealed copies of albums for next to nothing.
