I never agree with these so called experts who make up there "best of" lists, but its still fun reading them!
I see David Bowie at #2, 6 and 5 respectively so far....no real surprise as death seems to improve people's perceptions
of those artists!
a classic example,
I have numerous scrapbooks of various charts through the years when I saw a teenager and occasionally, say once a year,
the top radio stations both here in Australia and the UK (back then here in Perth the top pop stations were 6PM and 6IX, remember them bob_32, one is now called
96FM, the other 1080 6IX)...
and they would conduct polls amongst their listeners, and rarely prior to Lennon's death did "imagine" feature high in the lists, not though, its a surprise if its not
in the top two or three!)
