There is a great site which covers all things to do with rare Beatles recordings acetates etc at

On this site is an interesting item:
THE SOURCE - Other Tapes - "1976 Reunion"
Offered for sale ( ON e-bay?) was the above tape box...................the tape of which could have been a tape of a 1976 Beatle reunion?????????????
Interestingly enough, the tape has been bulk erased ( Although after Watergate we know that traces of the original contents could still be revealed) The other claim is that there could be another copy in the vaults somewhere.
The most interesting part is; McCartney's reaction to the tape.............he tends to get hot under the collar when people get close to things he does not wish to discuss, ( Can't blame him !) but this might give weight to the story.
As I suggest, this is merely an interesting story and with the general disenchantment of the Beatles, with each other musically, it is unlikely to really contain classic performances but............................... :happy:
