Good point on the Idol talent and very true.

Now come on, you oughta be able to rank the genres. You can't find them all equal.

i grew up listening to the rock 'n' roll of the 50s/60s
2. country/folk
i have an appreciation of country now, used to detest it,folk likewise, reggae i dont really care for,bob marley is ok,ub40 also but thats it for me,like few bits and pieces of others like tosh
3. alternative
4. hard rock
5. pop
6. soul/r&b/hip hop
like real soul, the stuff from the 60s/70s, r&b from the early rock days, not the crap they call r&b now,people forget its 'rythem and blues', hip hop, most of it is rubbish, like b.i.g, eminem, 2pac, public enemy
7. jazz/blues
getting more into it as i get older
8. film
9. electronic
10 opera/classical
just staring to appreciate it now, still a long way to go before i can say i like it
