Was hoping someone would give us a good review for the Kanye.

what do you think of Kanye's album??? i was surprised how good it is

I love the music but was disappointed with the lyrics. Initially, I was so disappointed by the content I considered shelving the album. I'm surprised Kanye hasn't reached a level of emotional maturity needed to create more engaging lyrics. Also, Kanye's flow doesn't always work for me. But after a few more listens, I was able to let the lyrics melt away and get caught up in the music. On music alone, I'd give this a 8 or 9. I'd love hear a more capable rapper get a shot at those songs.

I think it's worth a buy for anyone who like pop, Hip Hop, Pop Hop, or R&B. Most people who like those styles should like this. I like it and will probably listen to it often over the next couple of months, but it won't make my year end top 10 list.

EDIT: I said I'd give the music 8-9 (of 10). With the lyrics attached, I give the album 6.5-7.
