The Amazing Blondel must rate as one of English folk music's best kept secrets.............They have existed well over 40 years and ae still touring and producing excellent albums.
Originall from Scunthorpe in Lincolnshire.............The band took their original idea from a simple concept to hidden masterpiece in the early 70s...............They aimed to recreate the sound of 18th Century English folk music using specially adapted instruments and acoustic guitars. Sounding like a cross between Magna Carta and Gryphon, this band make a heavenly sound which is in essence timeless. There are several re-issues creping onto the market but the best must be England.............
