ALBERT HAMMOND "the very best of" cd, 1988.
a very good best of set from one of the forgotten or rarely remembered pop songwriters of the 1970s/80s....
this guy wrote(and often performed) some of the best songs ever written IMO,
have two of his studio albums, both get a love rating so its no surprise this one does the same....
only dissapointment here is the stupid reggae track "we're running out", which simply does not fit in anywhere, and most certainly does not suit his voice...
also, this guy has made so many great pop songs that i find it difficult to actually pin him down to one solitary 'best track', but this time i will go with the anti pollution track "down by the river"...this is one of those albums that every music collector/lover should own...simply brilliant IMO
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
