Shuggie Otis Does it help or hurt to have a Dad who's a prominent bandleader (Johnnie Otis, a force to be reckoned with for decades)? On the one hand, exposure to the best; on the other, possibility of tough-to-meet expectations. Shuggie thrived. Multi-instrumentalist/writer/leader
