Lest I be misunderstood, I do like the PSB song quite a bit. ABBA were OK too, though I don't think "SOS" is one of their best.

Here's my current obsession, I don't love it, but I don't hate it either.

Leonard Cohen - So Long, Maryanne
due to having heard it on the radio today. A much better song than Hallelujah, I think.

I agree,
Much better than Hallelujah... That said, there's nothing wrong with Hallelujah.... I'm a recent convert to Cohen, having one compilation and three studio albums... Lets so what our Cohen-phile MH has got to say about LC... BTW, I think Jeff Buckley did the best version of Hallelujah, closely followed by KD Lang. Back to original posted comments... Most people only know LC for Hallelujah, same as most people know NY for only Harvest... I can think of maybe seven or eight albums by NY I prefer over Harvest and a lot of tracks the equal to or better than 'heatt of gold' and 'old man'

I just re checked....
I own just two studio albums by Cohen.... "songs of LC" and "songs of love and hate" plus a 2 disc set compilation, loving all three cds.. "songs of love and hate" is my favourite.
