I'm sure to be called an alien yet again but I wouldn't say I was a fan of The Beatles. John Lennon obviously in his time was a great man and extremely influential. I don't know how to put it without it backfiring but I just find their music... boring!
In terms of Beatles members the most important one for me personally is George Harisson for his adventures with the likes of Ravi Shankhar and for embracing Eastern music and helping bring it to a Western audience.
I have a lot of their records but only because I bought them for my mum years ago. I don't see any of them being essential in my collection to be honest. Only one I am moderately a fan of is 'A Hard Day's Night'. Movie is quite funny as well!
