another Mahatma C-Horse sermon!!!

they call it 'patriotism'.....but it is not patriotism, it is exactly as you said it Gator....anything for a buck!

it is also Fascism...your Govt Agencies said there is a threat against NY or DC to keep people in a state of fear and panic...now all of a sudden they cant say the threat is 'credible'.

the old "ask not what america can do for you but what you can do for america" is crap. what that really means is "dont worry about your crappy wages or a health system that makes you pay $4K when you break an arm to get treatment(whereas it is almost cost free in the rest of the 'western world'), but as long as the country survives thenyou've done your bit for the US"

the US imo keeps you all enslaved to poverty and fear of violence....everything George Orwell wrote about back in the 1940s!!!!

remember his qoutes "all people are equal but some are more equal than others" and the one about "we have always been at war with so-and-so, so-and-so has always been our friend" (yet the US were Iranian allies when it suited them, then turned on them to allign themselves with Saddam, then back again), the same with the Taliban against the Soviets....the US has always supported nations then turned their back on them when they had no further use for US interests!!!! again, they supported the Bin Laden family and Bush was even friends with this lot whilst knowing that Osama was a terrorist mastermind...why?, because the Bin Laden's had monetary interests in the US that Bush/Chaney were skimming profits for themselves.
they should never have let the Ladens into the US or let them knowing invest monies there whilst they knew Osama was their 'most wanted' fugitive...and who can be certain that NO Bin Laden family money found its way to Osama to fund his terror campaigns...you cant, it cant be guarenteed, nor can Arabs be trusted to ensure that it couldnt happen.

then the US has these poor 'working class' and/or 'poverty stricken' kids fighting on the frontlines in the middle east earning just $18K a year, and for what? their position in society will not improve when they return to the US, they will still be living in poverty and abject misery, again, who benefits?...the Govt and big business, not the people of the US!!!

yes...so called patriotism is just Fascism under a friendly guise!!!!!!

....all that said, i have found ALL Americans i have met to be nice people....its the system that is screwed up out there!!!!!!!!

A final remark on this. I have no problem with building a memorial to the victims - in fact I think it's essential. But couldn't they have put a bit more effort into it? It looks like 2 kitchen sinks side by side. Awful design. They could have come up with something a hell of a lot better than this.

yeh, it is easy to criticise any monument they make, but at least the waterfalls signify 'peace and tranquility'

this is my last comment on the subject also as this is primarily a music forum....His Bobness is a clever man of few words but when he speaks he can move mountains
