that said though...
the Stills-Young album "long may you run" lacked something also without the other two, i guess they simply bring out the best in eachother or at least have a chemistry as a foursome. again... i do like Nash's HOLLIES, Crosby's BYRDS, and BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD with Stills and Young

did you listen to it yet, CH ! I am absolutely sure that you will enjoy John Fogerty...same as seeing CCR imho !!!!as far as CSN goes , I do love the 3 part harmonies the group generates ...Suite Judy Blue Eyes homage to Judy Collins is absolute heaven !!!! Neil added an immeasurable edge/dimension to the group with his massive talent !

LOL, no i havent listened to it as yet SteveO... still have around 10 unplayed ones to go for first plus my regular daily posts, so i'll post my initial thoughts of it sometime in the next three weeks mate....i am looking foreward to it though... also, hoping Fogerty and CSN are not on opposing stages at the same time so i can see them both, otherwise, im afraid Fogerty wins hands down as both Dani and I love CCR/Fogerty, the only other act that would make me miss CSN is that if My Morning Jacket are on the same time they are....lets hope not though!

CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:that said though... I think the friction generated by the opposing personalities is what creates the better material. These guys are competing with each other and that in turn relates to better material being produced as they are always trying to outdo each other. Makes them come up with something better than the other guy has. Left to their own devices there's no-one to argue with and as a result no-one to tell you what you have written is crap.

Totally agree with Jerome on, er, "creative friction" producing brilliance. Lennon/McCartney, Jagger/Richards, Brian Wilson with his dad AND himself--the list goes on.
