Alice Cooper - Welcome 2 My Nightmare

Paul Weller - Wake up the Nation

Wynton Marsalis and Eric Clapton - Plays the Blues

That's my 14 favorites from this year...I am sure I will remember more to add ..lol

I am not disregarding other albums, I just never heard them yet !....they are still in my to listen to queque !!!..lol

NOTE: I wish Paul McCartney and Roger Waters would have released new albums this year !!! ( I know Macca released another classical album but not rock)

McCartney, according to all reports i have seen has two albums due out next year...
one which is a very rock sounding album,apparently all tracks were recorded in one or two takes with little production with his current touring band.
also a duets album, apparently this one is all of his own songs from his back catalogue including some beatle tracks...Paul Stanley of KISS and Bob Dylan have been named as artists who have been a part of the recording process

mind you, rumours of a duets album have been floating around for a couple of years now...so i guess we'll have to wait and see!
