BRUNO MARS "doo wops and hooligans" cd,2010.
had this one since its release, played it quite a few times so i believe my review and subsequent score is pretty accurate now....much the same as Cee Lo's will be when that comes round again shortly....
and you're probably going to bag my rating here, because, well he is a commercialised popstar...but i genuinely love this album!
debut album by this once Elvis impersonator and part time session vocalist.
reached #1 in over 20 countries, five hit singles from it, three #1 hits in Aust and UK in "grenade","just the way you are" and "the lazy song"...the first two were also #1 hits in the US.
not sure if this is the start of a great career, another flash in the pan act or someone who will continue to make guest appearances with other major artists...pretty hard to tell right now, but he has the potential if the material keeps on coming...
am surprised a little bit by the overall score here, knew it would rate pretty good...but this good, well...thats the way it happens.
Dani loves this album also...she just doesnt get into the rating system like MH and myself even though i have explained it to her...its either "hate","like" or "love" with her...
also love the fact that Bruno doesnt give a crap about filling up all 76+ minutes available on cds, rather makes ten good tracks at around forty minutes...thats the way i like it!
as we all know the hits off this one,i thought i'd just provide links to some of the other tracks so you can hear something different from Bruno Mars..
