This ... the lyrics seem really appropriate right now which might be why it is firmly lodged in my cerebral cortex. And I love the rototoms ...

woke up this morning and had this one running round my head.
im aware of three versions, the original by Jamaican Calypso singer Sir Lancelot from 1943,
a version from fifteen or so years ago by UK Ska group Madness, but this one is the best for me:
worth a listen if you want a little chuckle to yourself.

With apologies to Steve Howe, whose new piece made me think of this which seems highly improbable, I know, but it's there, a bit, lol! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0RsELypnZk...

I wonder if psychologists have particular theories about earworms? Lol! Association obviously – may be best not to delve too deep! No clue where this came from and much to the anticipated horror of several esteemed members here, I have never really been a Beatles fan, nor am I very well acquainted with their solo stuff, aside from George Harrison, and not very much of that either! … Heading for cover now …

regardless what i think of Ringo as a singer i really do have a 'soft spot' for him.
a lovable character and essential part of the Beatles genetic make-up.
with Ringo,
i find that if his albums contain ten tracks generally four, maybe five are okay, the rest, throwaways IMO.
his early to mid 1970s albums werent too bad though because he generally had a little help from his friends (john, paul, george) who wote and produced numerous tracks for him)
my favorite Ringo track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJ_oWSOdFMk
