Pendulum
the only band I haven't heard
Think. Why have AC/DC been in the news recently?

my answers are in "bold" text.
1. The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Who, AC/DC, Pendulum. because the other bands kept their original vocalist/vocalists throughout their career and AC/DC have now had three...?? 2. Africa, America, Antarctica, Asia, Australia. because theres never been a band come from Antarctica?? 3. Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Marillion, Porcupine Tree. I say you've made a mistake, theyre all the same....theyre all overrated??? 4. The Kinks, Heart, Blur, Oasis, Van Halen. the other four bands had siblings??

back to the original post by bob_32,
we did have a sort of guessing game a year or so ago... Music Head started it by playing his cds alphabetically, and we had to guess a particular artist starting with a particular letter Music Head made it all the way up to his "P" artist list... I sort of joined in after a while so MH could be part of the guessing process and I made it up to my "H" artist cds. it sort of stopped when I had to move house and everything got packed away, and because its not a permanent move most of my cds remain packed... heres a couple of examples of the threads we had running: Music Head's "M" cds: http://www.music-discussion.com/showthre...=crazy%27s Crazy's "B" cds: http://www.music-discussion.com/showthre...=crazy%27s

You got No. 4 correct, CH.
The others remain unsolved. I guess some clues are required - see the edited OP. I'll give you about another day before I post the answers.

1. The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Who, AC/DC, Pendulum.
ok, I may be way off again but Brian Johnson(ac/dc), is almost deaf, Townshend (is almost deaf), im thinking Brian Wilson(bb's) has hearing problems also, and Pendulum are a metal band from here in Perth, wouldn't surprise me of one o them had hearing problems also, whereby, Beatles members hearing is/was okay?

CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:back to the original post by bob_32,Looks like a fun game for the participants, but a lot of work for the instigator. Maybe I'll try a cut-down version at some point: "guess the artist" or "guess the album".

CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:1. The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Who, AC/DC, Pendulum. Not way off at all. That's correct. Rob Swire, from Pendulum, temporarily lost all the hearing in his left ear, apparently as a result of "vaping". Other such cases have been documented. Musicians might be well advised to avoid e-cigarettes.

2. Africa, America, Antarctica, Asia, Australia.
ok, a stab in the dark this time, "Africa" is the only one that hasn't been the title of an album
