Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown.

thanks for this one Gryphon, its a darn shame! i like his music, only own a few singles, no albums.

heres a funny clip, though of Billy connolly recalling Gerry's humourous side from the humblebum days

Great loss - his 'Right Down the Line' is classic. Will be sorely missed.

I have his City to City album on order. Hope I haven't contributed to his demise...

Sad indeed, but oddly he was rumoured to have died a couple of years ago, before surfacing to scotch the rumour.

I'm new to this site. Just wanted to say that Gerry Rafferty came from my hometown of Paisley. I have several of his albums & have always loved his high quality music. He will be sadly missed.

Man I think I'm gonna cry or something. First Mick Karn and now Rafferty? This year's turning out to be a sad one for music...

Was reading an article about Baker Street. It currently earns about 80 000 GBP per year in royalties. No mean feat!

Topper Headon from The Clash lives near me. Someone I work with reckons he earns £40 000 per year from the royalties for Rock The Casbah alone...
