Hello Everyone !
I have just joined MUSIC DISCUSSION so this is my first post.
I like all genres of music due to the fact that I have been exposed to all types of music for the past 47 years.
I prefer a live in person concert or live album to the studio album in most cases.
The Killers - Live at the Royal Albert Hall, London is a fabulous live album. Lots of crowd participation - singing along with the band. The sound is excellent also so the crowd doesn't drown out the band.
Please let me know what "live crowd/audience participation" albums you enjoy.

Off the top of my head, Queen's Live Killers album has a brief section where the band stop playing, and the crowd sing Love of my Life without accompaniment. That's quite good...

Depends on the quality of the live recording. Joe Bonamassa Live From The Royal Albert Hall is an excellent live album however Psycho Circus Alive! 1975-2002 from Kiss leaves alot to be desired.

unless it's a club type setting I usually prefer a studio album.
there are exceptions.

At the other end of the scale there's Bob Dylan's Bootleg Series Volume 4. This was recorded in 1966 on Dylan's first electric UK tour. The first disc is acoustic, and the audience are quite happy, but Bob brings his electric backing band on for the second half of the show, and things start to go a bit wrong.
The audience felt that he was betraying his Folk roots and become increasingly disapproving and vocal. Brilliant music, and a defining moment in Dylan's career.
