never been a big fan of Stills as a solo artist but he is a great guitarist, i still think "for what its worth" from the Buffalo Springfield days is his best song...too much friction between him and Neil Young for my liking, much like that between Roger Waters and Dave Gilmour...and fans tend to go the way of one of those artists also, me.... Roger and Neil respectively so Stills and Gilmour ralrey get a look-in unfortunately!

I played the hell of Stephen's first album 42 years ago(on good old vinyl) and I Stills (lol) go back to it ocassionally ! It's a dynamite album !!!! I love his voice, original and distinctive like Neils' ! Just take a look at the infamous musicians on this gigantic record !

ok SteveO...
popped in to see Corey today...and i bought the one you mentioned above, lucky though as it ws the only Stills album in the store...been a bit of a ruch on his records lately...im guessing its because CSN are performing at the West Coast Blues & Roots Festival in a couple of weekends time...Corey also said sales of CCR have gone up slightly over the last week also as Fogerty is the headline act at the festival...for which Dani and I have tickets as you know from previous posts over the last few weeks.
personally, i dont care if i see CSN or not as i find their music boring without Neil Young in the loop, even though he tended to record his songs seperate from CSN he added something to the group, not sure what it was but its there in his prescence IMO.
dont like David Crosby of Greame Nash's solo material either, but together with CSNY their harmonies are beautiful and ethereal at times.
