Just misses the love mark because of that damn instrumental in Season Suite. Title track is probably Johns biggest
hit and made this sixth album among his best. Although not his best selling it made #4 here and #11 in the UK. Not
crazy about the Beatles and John Prine covers but they'll pass. Such a great songwriter, why do that? Nothing I
don't like other than the instrumental, and five love tracks. Why did Johns songs get so much sadder after he died?
Goodbye Again is one of his greatest and can melt me when I'm in that zone. For Baby, same thing. Hell, even the
damn Bambi scenes for Season Suite are depressing me. Where's my JD and the Muppets album? Wait, that won't do. Even
Miss Piggy gets to me on that one.

^ This album and the single Rocky Mountain High were huge in the day!!!!! I remember quite clearly my good musician friends picking songs from this album on acousic and singing them at kitchen parties!!!!...liked the Mother Nature's Son cover!

People who play and sing songs always know the great ones !!!!...such a tragic loss!....rest in peace John!

LADY ANTEBELLUM "lady antebellum" cd,2008.

the pro's at allmusic call these guys "country"???...maybe because they originate from Nashville, me, i call them a pop group with tinges of country thrown in the mix.
this was their debut set from 2008, and far superior to their two other albums
the album opens up with two almost rock sounding tracks, then sort of descends into ballady type pop with a bit of slide guitar thrown in for good measure.
love the vocals and harmonies of these guys whether the female of the males take the lead role singing.
great tunes,sounds and genuinely good feel good music IMO, cant knock 'em on this release whatsoever.

same goes for Taylor Swift IMO, have a couple of her albums also...very little country in sight, just good straightforeward pop music..

People overclassify things. Swift is pretty much just straightforward pop music. I guess I can see how she gets the country label though. When I think of pop music I think of Britney Spears, Katy Perry ... stuff like that. And while I'd still think of Swift as pop, her music is different from those two and that sound.

TAYLOR SWIFT "taylor swift" cd,2006

Taylor's debut set, i didnt get this until after i bought the great "speak now" album a couple of years ago...had i bought this one first, then my collection would only have thais one in it as its not real impressive IMO.
mostly just okay songs here, however "our song" and "mary's song" come pretty close to love ratings. three on here i cannot stand including her debut single "tim mcgraw".
this one is decidedly more country than her two followup albums which are really "pop" albums, thats why this one is not in country...she is a pop singer IMO.
she certainly has a bright career infront of her, and good luck to her for that as she is talented,can sing and also knows how to write good pop songs.

His seventh, highest charting in the UK at #5, but the decline had begun in the states, only reaching #15. Still
some good ones left before he started his covers only obsession. A couple of love tracks on here for me with Lonely
Together and I Made It Through The Rain, the only hit at #10, and his last one to reach that high. A couple of minor
hits with Lonely Together and Bermuda Triangle. One I don't care for with Dance Away. A duet with Lily Tomlin was
better than I expected, although campy. An average Barry album overall. I still hung in for a few more.
