Ronnie Biggs dies...

i guess this is more crime based than music but he did have a hit record in the UK in the late 1970s...

Ronnie biggs was one of the "great train robbers"...
that was a heist in 1963 in the UK whereby he and a group of others robbed a Royal Mail train taking some 2.4 million pounds in loot(todays standards that equates to 40million pounds or 60 million dollars), it was the highest grossing robbery in the world at that time...
Ronnie was, along with the others, jailed for 20+years, he escaped and spent some 40yrs on the run before giving up and handing himself in to British police...
during his time on 'the lam' he lived in Australia and various South American countries...was almost caught on several occasions but was always one step ahead of 'the law'...
he turned himself in to police about a decade ago as he was sick of being on the run and looking over his shoulders all his life...
after spending a while in a UK prison he was released a couple of years ago,
since then he suffered several strokes which left him unable to talk and walk...
to the magority of British people he was always considered to be a modern day Fagan, a hero to the working class....

in 1978 the Sex Pistols found him in Brazil where they encouraged him to sing on their "no-one is innocent" single, which became a UK top10 hit...
the British establishment were mortified seeing billboards adorning Biggs' imaga promoting the single with the words "no-one is innocent" scrawled below his face...LMAO!

so the link below is a salute and tribute to Ronnie Biggs...
