PAUL WELLER "white sky"
one of my musical idols...
its the first new thing from Weller in three years,except for last years
'record day' limited edition single on 7" vinyl called "brand new toy",
that one was not up to par IMO, neither was his last album "sonik kicks"
which i thought was the worst album he released in his career to that
point(he started in 1977).
this one has no melody or tune, his voice has been deliberately
distorted, for what reason i cannot fathom.
theres just nothing in it that i can say i honestly like...
i am not looking foreward to the new album release in May if this is the
sort of material on it!
sorry Paul, time to throw the towel in and retire or reform The Jam
for one final tour to say goodbye and 'thanks' to the fans who have been
there through the decades!
