I would love to share with you the new song, Frozen Heart, from The Hawk In Paris. The Hawk In Paris is made up of writer/lyricist Dan Haseltine (Jars of Clay), producer/writer Matthew Bronleewe (Paul Van Dyke, Selena Gomez), and producer/writer Jeremy Bose (The Band Perry, Amy Grant + The Hi-Lows). The group's history brought a rare depth to the writing process and allowed each member the opportunity to discover new musical identities.
"The song, Frozen Heart, follows a theme that we have been exploring in the music of The Hawk in Paris," says lead singer Dan Haseltine. "Mainly, the allure of love even when it hurts us. Possibly a restating of Bryan Ferry's Roxy Music, 'Love Is The Drug.' The idea of love not only as something that gives us a kind of awakening to our senses like jumping into cold water, but also love that adds weight to our ankles as we attempt to reach the surface for air."
