Isn't this the hub for music discussion? Why do we have to be referred somewhere else to discuss the merits of Caruso, Callas, Tebaldi, Hotter...?

Exactly right. I may reference another site but it's only to make or affirm a point. We don't want the Balkanizing the OP is suggesting. Fortunately, it's not a clikable link.
