song titles featuring an animal in the title
we've done the weather songs and the celestial body songs now lets see where this one takes us...

remember, the title of the song (not album titles) must include a type of animal in its title,
mythical animals are allowed so unicorns/bigfoot/Pegasus etc etc will be allowed...

insects, fish, mammals, any creature mythical or real is okay.

now, John Cash recorded a song called "bigfoot" but that one was about the Sioux Chief, that doesn't count,
but if theres one about the legendary apeman who roams the mainland of the US continent, that is ok.

also, The Beatle track "Martha my dear" is about Paul's Old English Sheepdog but that doesn't count neither because
Sheepdog is not mentioned in the title neither....

im sure you all get the idea, right....???
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..."  -  Me 2014.

I could probably post eight or nine Adam & The Ants track that feature the word "ant" in the title, but I wont do them all at the same time...

They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..."  -  Me 2014.

David Crosby & Graham Nash - "To the Last Whale ...."

"The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact us." ~ Bill Watterson
Al Stewart - Year of the Cat (song and album)

Cat Stevens - I Love My Dog (double points?)

John Butler Trio - Zebra

I think extra credit should be given for songs that mention an animal that hasn't been used before in the thread.
Lou Reed off his greatest album (IMO)

They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..."  -  Me 2014.

Some one-word song titles that are names of birds:

ABBA - Eagle
The Beatles - Blackbird
Wings - Bluebird
Simon & Garfunkel - Sparrow
Fleetwood Mac - Albatross
Let's see there's:
Fleetwood Mac - Songbird
Sammy Davis Jr. - Bye Bye Blackbird
Survivor - Eye of the Tiger (obvious one :tongueSmile
Over The Rhine - Firefly
Jimi Hendrix - Catfish Blues
Tame Impala - Elephant
I just thought of another "double":

Tame Impala - Elephant

Edit: SNAP! Great minds think alike.
Oceansoul Wrote:Over The Rhine - Firefly
or you could have named "Fireflies" by Owl City, for a double.
I don't know who did the song first, but my late beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal covered a song named "Fox On The Run".

God bless you and his family always!!!

Listen to my most favorite singer here sometime, James Otto that is!
