'tis the time of the year when the experts drop their favourite albums lists of the year...
whilst I rarely agree with these lists, and even get pissed off with the inclusions and exclusions
I still read them year in, year out,
and in any case im currently compiling my own list from my own purchases which im sure members here
will disagree with also...LMAO...
so here goes with the first list I found:
this one is from PASTE, whatever that is???
1....LUCY DACUS "historian"
2....PARQUET COURTS "wide awake"
3....COURTNEY BARNETT "tell me how you really feel"
4....SOCCER MOMMY "clean"
5....SNAIL MAIL "lush"
6....MITSKI "be the cowboy"
7....PUSHA T "Daytona"
8....ROLLING BLACKOUTS C.F "hope downs"
9....LOW "double negative"
10..HOP ALONG "bark your head off, dog"
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

I love these year end charts
they usually point out plenty of artists I am not familiar with
as does your posted list
we know at least one person liked them
that doesn't mean we will be another one
but we wonder why this guy thinks Lucy is the best album of the year
or are we missing something

COURTNEY BARNETT "tell me how you really feel" is the only one I am familiar at all with ! I like her.
The ultimate connection is between a performer and its' audience!
