Hello everybody. I haven't posted on here in quite awhile. Well I am desperately seeking all kinds of new music so I am posting a thread in each genre asking for your recommendations! Country is a very big thing now a days but I am not looking for that pop country. Alternative Country would be ideal. I know about folk/ rock like 60's folk bands but I would like to broaden that knowledge as well. Also I find world music very intriguing because I love learning about other cultures. Please recommend your favorites. Thank you!
Sometimes I lay under the moon and thank God I'm breathing.
And I pray "Don't take me soon "cause I am here for a reason"
Sometimes in my tears drown but I never let it get me down
So when negativity surrounds, I know someday, it'll all turn around.

Err I am all too (unfortunately) familiar with Taylor Swift. No offense intended, just not really a fan. I was looking for more traditional country but thank you!

each tot heir own mate,no offence taken...
try Kasey Chambers...Aussie girl, released around eight or nine albums now, mostly traditional country with a splash of Bluegrass thrown in every now and then, very talented gal IMO...
also, try Neil Young's "prarie wind" and "harvest moon" albums, classic folky Mr.Young from the1990s/2000s
