Natural Snow Buildings are a drone/folk duo from France, specializing in lengthy drone compositions. Since 1999, they've released a number of home tapes distributed through the interenet, but this stand unquestionably as the group's masterpiece. Nearly three hours in length and comprised of simplistic yet ethereal folk and earth-shattering drones, "The Dance of the Moon and the Sun" was one of the hardest albums for me to have gotten into. Once, it clicked, however, there was no going back. It struck a deeper chord than anything before, literally transporting me ot of my body and into a realm of sound for those glorious three hours, and may very well be my favorite album of all time. The album can be found on any number of music blogs, and I highly recommend downloading it

good effort Matt....
just one criticism(if you want to call it that?)...how about posting a couple of links with the posts that you are going to do in the "obscure classics" thing, as to be honest i cant be bothered looking for them myself but if they were included i would have no problem clicking on them!!!!

On the subject of Obscure - Obscured by Clouds - Pink Floyd. It always amazes me how many 'hard-core' Floyd fans I meet that don't know about this album. Love Rick's work on this album.

Yes J ! I have listened to this album since it was first released and it has sunk into obscurity somewhat ! Rick Wright contributes a lot to this venture......
Besodes Gilmour and Waters, can you recommend solo albums by Wright and Mason ?

Syd isn't on this one. It is the 'mellow' Floyd album.
