Definitely Metallica. Albeit it was the song 'Enter Sandman' along with the Black Album which introduced me to metal, but little did I know of Ride The Lightning's existence. Boy, I can remember hearing songs such as Fight Fire With Fire for the first time, It was just amazing!

Iron Maiden. During my Green Day phase, I visited the local Border's. I don't know what convinced me to buy "The Essential Iron Maiden", but I did it... and loved it. Lost the disc ages ago, but still love the songs. Opened the floodgates, musically.
