It would be Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd). Second guess would be New World (Strawbs). Intelligent songs with good lyrics.

"yesterday" purely for the royalties...i mean 4000+ cover versions and Macca earns some 6million pounds per year for that song alone!
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.
"At Last" The #1 wedding song ever. It would be too obvious to link Etta James killer version so try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOOB5c1Efuc << young man has a great future--wish he'd lose about 50-75% of that melisma (it doesn't wear well). BTW soul music seems to have found a home on The "X" Factor (see also James Arthur, Matt Cardle, Leona Lewis)--I'm bemused and uplifted.

If I can add another? "The Warmth of the Sun", especially as done by Vince Gill--a heartbreaking song even if not aware of the circumstances of its being written (JFK's assassination):

Besides many Beatle songs, definitely Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen,,,hits me every time...fascinating lyrics!!!!
The ultimate connection is between a performer and its' audience!
