LATEST KERANI RECORDING HONORS WOMEN
Kerani - Equilibrium
On her latest album, EQUILIBRIUM, new age keyboardist KERANI (from The Netherlands) embarks on a noble endeavor and uses her music to honor feminine energy and some important women in history. However, this hauntingly lovely instrumental new age is not just for women, but can be enjoyed by anyone. The music is extremely worthwhile for anyone who likes high-quality new age music with piano, synth, some acoustic instruments and some downplayed vocalizing.
This rich, moody, thought-provoking music that soars through the ages from the time of ancient battles for Ireland to when the library at Alexandria was the greatest repository of knowledge the world had ever seen (before being burned on the onset of the Dark Ages). This is delicate music, textured, with depth and dimension, like a thick, woven cloak pulled up over the shoulders to keep the chill of the world out. This is love, passion, companionship, caring, nurturing, feeling, human music from the ages for the ages.
You might try to hear some excerpts online, but I am not sure that short form will do this music justice. It is much better to immerse yourself in the full tracks. If you are not already a Kerani fan willing to invest in the entire CD (the cover is gorgeous), then at least pay to download the first two tracks (a couple of dollars well-spent) and play them a few times at different hours of the day. My prediction is you will be back to that download sales site for the rest of the music. It wears well.
