When I watched Tarantino's 'INGLORIOUS BASTERDS' I listened to, not expecting to hear it, one of David Bowie's songs out of the past:
PUTTING OUT THE FIRE WITH GASOLINE. I hadn't heard it in ages and positively loved it. What an atmospheric, dark song.
Have you guys got any other suggestions of the sort? How a movie or TV production can re-introduce a nearly forgotten song and give it new thrust?

Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody was re-introduced to the world through Wayne's World - the scene in the Gremlin made the song a HUGE hit when it had not been prior to that.
Trainspotting helped Iggy Pop's song Lust For Life.

ACROSS the UNIVERSE ! ...a B movie about college romance ...but the entire movie is The Beatles in song...each actor sings a Beatle song...very well I might add,,,,throughout the entire movie! ...Joe Cocker makes a guest appearance ...lol
